Our Response
To Our Granby Community,
On Saturday morning October 21, 2023 many residents of Granby awoke to find a flyer in their driveways from the Nationalist Social Club. This group promotes itself as "a pro-white, street-oriented fraternity dedicated to raising authentic resistance to the enemies of our people in the New England area.” The flyer goes on to make clear this group is recruiting men of European descent to organize and resist because they believe white people are being replaced by people of color. The ideology of this group is based on a conspiracy theory called “The Great Replacement,” and at its core is white supremacist, xenophobic and anti-immigrant.
Granby Racial Reconciliation condemns the hate filled ideology of the Nationalist Social Club, and calls all people, and especially their recruitment target: white men, to stand against their message and stand for the acceptance of all people.
Our Rally

With the recent distribution of white supremacist literature in Granby that carried a hateful message we invite you to say "Hate Has No Place in Our Town." Join us in solidarity with our friends and neighbors on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 12 noon on the Granby Town Green, Granby, CT for our Stop the Hate Rally.

Declare "Hate Has No Place in Our Town!" We will provide FREE Lawn Signs at the Stop the Hate Rally, as supplies last.
Signs are free but if you would like to make a tax deductible donation to help offset the cost of the lawn signs, we suggest $10 per sign.
Code of Conduct for the "Stop the Hate" Rally
We hope that there will be a large outpouring of support to demonstrate that hate has no place in our town. We recognize that there is the possibility that agitators may attend the rally, therefore we must stress that attendees must make the personal decision on whether or not to attend based on their own conscience and comfort level. If agitators make their presence known we ask that you follow the example of Dr. Martin Luther King and other civil rights protestors by exhibiting non-violent responses. This means please do not respond by shouting, arguing, touching, or engaging in any way with agitators and if necessary we encourage you to just walk away from any agitator.
The "Stop the Hate" rally will be this Saturday, 10/28/23, at Noon on the Granby Town Green, which is located at the intersection of Route 20, Route 10/202 and Route 189. Cars should be parked at locations away from the town green and attenders should walk to the town green.
